Is Marley Spoon a subscription service?
Yes! Marley Spoon is a flexible subscription service which means you will automatically receive dishes, based on your taste preferences, which will be debited from your account weekly. You can always change the frequency, number of portions or the recipes you'd like to receive, and skip or pause the service if you need to.
You can cancel your subscription at anytime, however, for those in VIC, NSW and ACT, we require 6 days notice prior to your delivery date to edit your order, skip or cancel deliveries. For SA, NT and QLD, we require 7 days notice due to overnight shipping and to avoid food waste in the process of getting your produce from farm to plate.
Is there a minimum order amount?
Each meal you choose has a minimum order of two portions and each box has a minimum order of four portions, e.g. 2 portions for 2 nights recipes/cooking. You're welcome to mix and match recipes across vegetarian, meat and fish, etc. Our ingredients (including meat and fish) stay fresh for at least 4 days.
Does Marley Spoon offer breakfast, lunch or dessert?
Right now, we're focused on making dinnertime a breeze, so we don't offer breakfast or lunch options just yet. We do however believe any leftovers make for an excellent lunch the next day!

I forgot my password, how do I get a new one?

Is it possible to change my order after it has been placed?
Yes! Go to "Orders" in your account and you will see that there is a countdown to edit your upcoming deliveries. You can edit your order up to 6 days before delivery for VIC, NSW and ACT. Please note that SA, NT and QLD deliveries require 7 days notice due to overnight shipping.
Where does Marley Spoon source ingredients from?
At Marley Spoon, we're extremely passionate about sourcing produce from carefully selected suppliers to guarantee the quality of our ingredients. We always opt for sustainable options when possible. Our chicken and pork is free-range and our beef and lamb is humanely farmed.
When sourcing our produce, we aim to provide Australian grown and packaged products where this is the most suitable option. We work with passionate people who we trust to bring you the best of the best when it comes to fresh, seasonal produce such as Perfection Fresh Australia vegetables.
For our canned goods, we look for products that contain no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours, contain no genetically modified ingredients and preferably contain no added sugar or salt. You can read more on our blog.
Do you offer vegetarian recipes or cater to vegans?
We offer at least 5 vegetarian dishes each week, and vegan options will feature on our menu from time-to-time. We don't seperate vegetarian and non-vegetarian plans because our vegetarian recipes feature a wide variety of carbohydrates, seasonal vegetables, and fresh herbs and spices. We ensure the macronutrient profile is met by including rich sources of vegetarian proteins that are generally comparable in price to non-vegetarian proteins.
How long will the ingredients stay fresh after delivery?
Our Food Safety team packs your meat, fish and dairy in insulation bags with ice packs, so they stay cool during transit until you are able to pack it away in the fridge. You don't have to be home for delivery, as the ice packs will keep everything cool and fresh for up to 8 hours. Once received, these ingredients should be packed away upon arrival in the fridge and can be stored there for 4 more days.
When and how can I see the recipes the following week?
We send a weekly email to our customers to showcase 20 new recipes for the coming weeks. You can also preview 4 week's recipes on our website under the 'Current Recipes' tab.
Do I need ingredients in addition to the goods delivered?
Yes, just a few pantry staples such as olive oil, eggs, salt and sugar, which we assume our customers have at home. Every time your box is on its way, you can see what extra ingredients you'll need for each recipe in the email we send you.
Do you offer healthy, low calorie and low carb options?
We do! We have a large selection of healthy recipes each week. Our healthy recipes are a lighter choice, containing between 450-599 calories. They include a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, a lean source of protein, and a rich mix of whole grains, some of which include quinoa, freekeh and more. Saturated fat and simple sugars are kept to a minimum and refined carbohydrates do not feature in our healthy recipes.
All nutritional information can be found on our recipe cards, website and app, and includes the calorie count and macronutrient profile per serving (per portion of food), as well as any allergens found within the dish.
As our customers and their dietary requirements are all unique, our portion sizes are largely based on the average, set out in the Australian Dietary Guidelines. You do however have the ability to customise your meals as you wish at home, adding more or less of something, or even substituting an ingredient.
Where does Marley Spoon deliver?
We currently deliver to, and the surrounding areas of, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston, Adelaide, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Wollongong, Newcastle, Darwin and NSW's Central Coast, with more coming soon. You can also enter your specific postcode in the process of signing up, to check if we deliver to your suburb. The rest of Australia is coming soon.
When are the boxes delivered?
We deliver 5 days a week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Our delivery times vary, so please call us for more information on (02) 6145 2910. For NSW, VIC and ACT deliveries, we require 6 days notice prior to the delivery date for order or address amendments. For SA, NT, TAS and QLD deliveries, we require 7 days notice prior to the delivery date for order or address amendments due to overnight shipping.
How are the ingredients kept fresh during transit and how should I store them?
Your boxes are shipped in chilled vehicles, meaning less packaging and less risk of any food spoilage in the process. If stored properly upon delivery, all ingredients should last to the end of your best before date. Your vegetables will stay fresh for a minimum of 4 days after delivery. Your boxes also come with insulation bags and ice packs to ensure everything stays cool before being packed away in the fridge. You can then recycle this packaging.
Meat and fish should be stored bellow 5 degrees. In most fridges, the air is colder at the bottom of the fridge, so store your meat and fish there!
In regards to your herbs, we recommend storing all herbs in the fridge, except basil. The herbs should be at the front of the fridge, so they're not too close to the cooling unit, which will make them wilt.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
Shipping costs are included in your purchase - no hidden costs!
What boxes do you offer?
We currently offer two plan types: a 2-person and 4-person box. Both allow you to choose how many nights a week you'd like to cook with Marley Spoon. For 1-person households, we recommend the 2-person box and cooking once, eating twice.
What is the difference between the two boxes?
The 2-person box is ideal for 2 adults. The 4-person box can feed up to 4 adults, so families with young children will have extra for hungry parents or a little left over for lunch the next day. The 4-person box is also ideal for housemates who cook together, and dinner parties too.
How can I switch boxes?
Just login to your account and head to the ‘Settings’ tab. Here you change your box type and delivery preferences.
What is a flexible subscription?
A flexible subscription means you decide which weeks to receive Marley Spoon deliveries, and you only pay for what you receive. Visit your account settings to switch weeks on and off, or to cancel your subscription. You can plan up to 8 weeks in advance!
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can easily do so in your account area under "My settings", but we'll be sad to see you go. Please note that you will have to cancel your subscription 6 days before your next delivery (for VIC, NSW and ACT orders) and 7 days before your next delivery (for NT, SA and QLD orders) due to production timelines.
What is the fruit box?
The fruit box is filled with seasonal fruit and delivered to your doorstep alongside your Marley Spoon recipe box. Every box contains around 7 varieties of fruit, coming in at 3.5 kg of deliciousness per delivery.
How does it work?
The fruit box is available to all customers, which means you can get your weekly vitamin kick and dinner all in one delivery! What types of fruit do I receive?
You’ll get a box with 3,5 kg of seasonal, fresh and locally-sourced fruit. With every box, we’ll feature a special type of fruit. This could mean something exotic, like mango or pineapple, or maybe a fruit at its seasonal peak. Fruit stays fresh & firm for 4-5 days, which means you have plenty of time to snack, bake, or blend it.
What does it cost?
A weekly delivery of fresh fruit is: $24.90. We save you an additional trip to the supermarket and deliver for free.
When can I expect my fruit box?
Good things come in pairs, so you’ll always get your fruit box delivered with your Marley Spoon recipe box. You can add or remove the fruit box from your order just like you would with your recipe box. For VIC, NSW and ACT deliveries, we require 6 days notice prior to the delivery date for order or address amendments. For SA, NT and QLD deliveries, we require 7 days notice prior to the delivery date for order or address amendments due to overnight shipping.
