Did you know that the two biggest barriers for women not maintaining a healthy lifestyle is ‘lack of time’ and ‘health not being a priority’?

It’s true, which is why this year Marley Spoon is partnering with Jean Hailes for Women’s Health to make sure eating healthy is not only easy but delicious this Women’s Health Week! Combining evidence-based research and clinical experience, Jean Hailes has been leading women’s health education and research for more than 25 years.

Women’s Health Week is on the first week of September every year, but to make sure you’re eating well consistently, Marley Spoon is serving up some special dishes in August so you can make positive changes that could last a lifetime.

ALL ABOUT GUT HEALTH

Central to our overall health and wellbeing is our digestive system. It plays an important role in your physical and mental health, breaking down and absorbing all the nutrients your body needs, which is why “gut health” is the food theme for Women’s Health Week this year.

Your digestive system is home to trillions of bacteria and other microorganisms. The key to a healthy microbiome is all a diverse menu with lots of plant-based foods, as well as avoiding processed foods with artificial sweeteners.

In August we’re serving up four recipes specially created by the Jean Hailes naturopath and herbalist Sandra Villella, who has worked closely with the Marley Spoon chefs to create some healthy recipes for you to cook at home.

These dishes are available to order in the last two weeks of August and can be added to your upcoming order now. Together we’re happy to serve up balanced dishes that leave you feeling great inside and out!
